A body, believed to be that of an elderly woman missing from the NSW Central Coast, has been found.

The 79-year-old was last seen about 1pm on Thursday at Ocean View Road, Ettalong Beach.

A search was launched when the woman couldn’t be located or contacted, with water police investigating the woman’s disappearance.

Emergency services located the body of a woman at Iron Ladder Beach, Box Head, about 12.20pm Saturday.

The body is yet to be formally identified, but is believed to be that of the missing woman.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
