Thousands of parents have been left in the dark after a statewide technical issue blocked the delivery of student report cards.
A Google glitch has delayed the release of Term 2 report cards in Queensland, which were due to be emailed to families this week, the Department of Education confirmed.
The issue appears to affect only parents and caregivers with Gmail accounts, and not users of other email providers.

“Google has blocked the email messages as if they are spam,” a department spokesperson said.
“We are working closely with Google to resolve the issue as a priority.”
There is currently no timeframe for when the glitch will be resolved.
While some students might quietly hope their report card never arrives, the department said parents and caregivers can still access their child’s report card via the QParents app.
